    central rc 51 victory

so i got a 51" victory cat from central rc. i am trying to lay out the drives on it as it will be a twin powered by 2028s on 8-10s depending on how hard i want to push it. it is the light layup with carbon added while in the mold wet in wet.
heres a few pics with theboat and my daughter in it!

my question is i have these drives:
    IMAG4506.jpgIMAG4507.jpg

the issue is to get the shaft center inside the sponson better i was thinkgin about shaving off the inside mounting hole and adding my own mounting hole in the center of the drive. would this be doable? or should i say something i could do safely?

What's the width of that hull? Got any pics of the bottom side? That's some serious power for a 50"er. Twin 2028 are used to power the 72" mystic fine and that's a huge hull compared to yours.

the boat is 16" wide and 51.5 overall. it has a flat ride pad, i will upload a bottom pic after work today. i know its a lot of power for the size but after talking about it with a few people it seemed to be a good route to go. i had considered the 72" boat but the consensus was it was a lot of boat for an electric power. we are guessing at 80mph on the 51.

Josh you have a great motor selection. I power a 135 on twin 2028s and love it. If anything it could probably take more depending on your goals. You wont break speed records but itll be far from slow.

Well A person does, LOL. Nice choice there Josh. Like Scott said, most likely won't break speed records but it'll be a great ripper. Pull like a mad beast. I have the stuff for a smaller BEAST here, A R-42 and twin 1717. Grins

I think you'll really enjoy it. These hulls are way different than the more scale SAW type hulls, 2028s are a great match for it.

Thanks guys, I was never doubting my motor choice. Main thing was mounting the drive. If I could shave that ear off and add a third mount hole in the center below the center mount hole.
