Complete NEWB with question on battery palcement and prop selectio

Hi, I am a complete NEWB to boats, I recently traded a quad copter for an Insane 34' Mono. I have two questions that I need advice on with the setup. This boat for my son who has out grown his mini-mono even with the hop ups we did. He has mastered that boat but is only 11 so I am looking for recommendations more towards longevity of the electronics and driving stability rather than all out speed. The previous owner also a boat newb ran it on 6s and said it ran good, I will run it on 6s as well because I have the batteries already. It has a Leopard 1400KV motor and a 180amp hobbywing esc. I want to get an additional prop but don't have a clue to the size that is on there, can anyone suggest a good all round prop with $$ in mind again not looking for all out speed here.

Second question is as far as battery placement goes, do boats have a balance point like we have on airplanes? I bought some battery mounts from OSE and before I glue them in place I want to know where they should go for the boat to be nice and stable. I have attached some pictures as well. Thanks.

Re cg on a mono, a good starting point is 30% of the hulls length forward from the transom ie on a 34" hull it would be 10.2". Re props you need to give the motor size ie diameter of the motor ( the actual motor can size ) & length.

The motor looks to be either 36mm or 40mm in diameter. An m440 prop or CNC 4014 should give decent speeds with reliability. What packs will you use? Boats draw a lot more amps than cars or planes do an need better packs.

I have 2 3 cell 5000mah 40C batteries and 2 6 cell 3300mah 30c but we mainly use the 3s as the 6s are for my planes and don't want to eat them up in the boat.
