HYDROLIFT 1900 VS Central RC Marine 72" Mystic

I'm looking to do a build using one of these hulls. I like the hardware that the tough racing has for the Hydrolift 1900 which looks like it would work on ether boat.

They both sound good. Does the central marine one come in cf at that price or atleast have an inlay done prior to the hull joining? I loved the central marine deep vees when I was looking around. I ended up not getting one because it was very scale so it was very narrow. I love the hardware you listed. Tough choice. Have fun with whatever you choose!

The central marine is one sexy boat. It may end up closer in price to the hydrolift if you get them to strenghthen the hull up for a big fast electric setup. I do recall it being quite reasonable though and money well spent. Bring on the build, looks like your committed to join the big boy club! Both great hulls. I look forward to seeing which you buy!

The Hydrolift looks pretty nice with the scale features. It seems pricey though and after you factor in shipping, it's going to be close to MHZ cost (standard layup). The CRC hull looks nice to me and the price is more attractive. I think he has the option for CF bottom for $100 more. The whole hull won't be CF but I'm sure you can request that and still stay under $1K. If you want the best, you have to spring for HPR/MHZ but either of your choices look nice. What's the budget for your build? $3K+? I always dream big but once you spec out a build over 50"-60", your wallet clams up.

It's looking to be about 3300.00 I may end up doing it in gas to keep the cost down. If I go Gas I will save some money.

I like the design of the Hydrolift hull the best. I has a lot of good qualities that I'm looking for. The Central RC Marine 72" Mystic Cat is clean on top of the hull but the design under the hull is plain and doesn't strong design. I have a feeling that the Hydrolift plains much faster.

Here is some high quality hardware for the hull from TUFF RACING.

If cost is a issue then look at these, from Kintec
6 Inch Short Base Cat Rudder Machined aluminum rudder with black anodized mount. Kick back safety with brass shear bolt. Comes with two 13 inch long cables . All hardware included. $55.00
Transom foot print is 1.26 inch wide (32mm) and 1.4 inch high (36mm).
Length of rudder from bottom of bracket is 4 3/4 inch (120mm)
1/4 Adjustable Cat Stinger Machined aluminum with stabilizer bracket. 1/4 bearings installed.
Length from transom to end is 5.5" (140mm) $55.00 each

I use the rudder and it is working very well! I also have the stingers. For 55.00 dollars each, it's like a sore dick! You can't beat it! So for under 200.00 you can hardware a large catamaran with good quality hardware that looks like a million bucks and is very easy to tune. The stinger you can run the stuffing tube inside the stinger to get a bomb proof system.

                        What hardware are you using?
I would look at the TP5850 6D wind and run 8s. This would keep the Cost and weight down and Lots of power!!!

The tuff racing stuff is ridiculous expensive in my opinion.

I don't understand what's going on here. It started out as a high end build with a $3300 budjet and your back to talking about $55 rudders. I bought the same one to give me some ideas for some nice mono hardware I want to build. It looks nice from a distance but saying it's a good quality part is a stretch. The pivot shaft or bushing needs to be remade to closer tolerances as the bushing slop and high speed running will cause issue at high speed. The rest of the budjet parts are have there own issues as well. They would all require rework to be considered Ok to use on a fast cat if your looking for big speed. Putting that stuff on a high end hull doesn't make sense. The rudder was just an example of the type of issues you would see compounded by using low budget parts.
So, have things changed? The conversation has gone from what sounded like a great build to take you to the next level and then spiraling down to using HOR parts. You may as well choose a budget hull to go along with what you have listed above. I guess I don't understand the direction your going but calling some of the stuff good quality is a stretch of the imagination. I hope you get things back on track and choose to stick with your original plan and build "the boat".
