100 amp ESC with instant reverse

    evening guys

a friend of mine is looking for a brushless 100 amp ESC with instant reverse its for a 70" inch large PT any thoughts of a esc was most seem to only do brake&reverse and waiting 2-5 sec to go in reverse its normaly to late by that time for a boat

    anyone recommend one

Unless you are running a wire drive instant reverse will just unwind a flex drive cable

It will also instantly kill the FETs in the ESC. I think a gearbox might have a better chance to survive.

The large PT is most likely running solid steel shafts.

Their are some car esc's that have the programming to do this but, none come to mind. Is there a Voltage, amperage requirement for this boat? It is large so, I'm curious as to what motors you are using.

If Andy says it will cook the FETS, I'll have to agree with him.

He's going to need to drive it like a real boat.

            A gearbox would be trick.
