New Fightercat 240 ESC only 50% power?

I just put a new Fightercat Cat 240a ESC in my Popeye and i am only getting half power. I have the program box and did program the ESC.Theres a lot more settings on this Fightercat ESC then the Swordfish ESCs I've been using. So not sure I have all those set correctly. I also got a new Tx and not sure if that has anything to do with it. But boat will only go about 30mph. Any help appreciated
    Thx Jeff

You could check the Tx travel. You could try cranking it up to 125%. Have you calibrated it? And there was a problem way back with the reverse. You neede to set it all up with reverse on and switch off later.

I'm using a Spektrum DX2E. Have knob on Tx turned all the way forward. In trying to re do it I've now lost signal to ESC. Turn on Tx and won't spin motor. ESC just keeps going thru a beeping cycle. How do you calibrate the Tx again?

This combo should not have any problem. I have DX3E and all knobs need to be turned to MAX. I am not sure on your unit how they are laid out, but these two Tx are almost identical with the exception that yours is a TWO channel.
Re-bind your Rx first, and then double check your knobs. Hopefully you can then re-program your ESC.

I had a similar problem with my mono recently. I was only getting partial throttle with my airtronics m11 radio. The problem was my throttle expo was turned down to 53% so I only had 1/2 my throttle input. Since I don't have reverse I turned it up to 140% .....

This DX2E is basic. Only adjustments are three knobs on Tx. It's the ESC I think. I've lost control of it with Tx now. All the ESC does now is go thru a cycle of beeps when I power it up now. Beyond frustrated as I've been messing with it 6 hours now.

                  Hmmm....
they are different after all: on the DX3E you have individual/separate knobs for End-Point Adjustments for all channels, and those need to be cranked up to MAX in order to calibrate.
On the DX2E, it only has throttle and steering trims, I don't know how this works on Spektrum radio, but on Tactic the ESC will not arm if your throttle trim is not centered---whatever that means, it's the physical position of the knob I am talking about, not necessarily the percentage of the trim setting. If this info helps

Ok I was hooking up two 4s 4000mah lipos in parallel like in the pic. Got nothing but half power. Took those out and ran a single 4s 5300mah Lipo and it ran perfect. Anybody know what that can be? Thx Jeff

I would like to know too: I had a similar experience with a Deans parallel adaptor. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXPTT6&P=SM
It was worse: it did not even arm the ESC, just don't understand it, I ordered a second one and was the same. At first I suspected internal connection problem, but it wasn't.
                      Hopefully someone can chime in.

Are both batteries in good order? If one is bad it will suck life from the other.

Yes because both batteries run boat fine when connected by themselves. What motor and ESC were you using Tim when that happened? Thx Jeff

OK, did you make the parallel plug? ONE cold solder joint could do this. And for that matter I have been witness to factory parallel/series plugs failing right out of the package.
