dumb question 1527 jacket on a 1521

got a question anybody try to put a 1527 water jacket on a 1521 neu motor before if so did it work why or why not

Yes mr Davis I know its longer. A 1527 water jacket from end to end is just under 3.25 inches and a 1521 says its 2.3 that is why I ask I need to order a motor and would like to get a 1521 if the 27 water will fit I will not have to redo the mount as the back of the motor is helg in place by the waterjacket

You can cut the cooler can shorter if you know someone with a lathe. I had to cut mine shorter because of my motor mount
