      Switching to the Lehner's is a good solution as that combo is known to work very reliably. in regards to the Neu motors, I suspect the differences in motors in causing the issue. If the motors were manufactured in the same batch, then they should not have different detent torques. If they are mechanically identical, this includes the stator winding than a low detent torque indicates there is a problem.

      BTW, the MGM and Castle controllers use slightly different control algorithms which is why one works fine and other has some difficulty.
