    Zonda Cat help water cooling???

I just got that zonda of mine in the water and it runs like a champ fast as !@#$%^&. The only problem I’m having is the water flow to the electronics. I got the upgrade dual outlet rudder but can’t get the water to come out of the exits. Seems like the rudder just can’t generate enough pressure to push water all the wat thru. To back up that theory I disconnected the water lines from the top of the rudder and ran the boat only to see little to no water coming out of the top??? Sometimes when turning I would see a low pressure spout from the rudder. Like a ¼ inch above the rudder outlets nowhere near strong enough to get to my electronics then to the outlets. Even blowing through the lines and ruuder shown no restrictions. It seems that rudder will not allow the water to flow at all. Is there a better rudder? Do you have any suggestions OSE mariners???

    Thanks

If the boat is as fast as you say then almost any rudder should shoot the water straight up. Check to see if the inlet, water course or outlet in the rudder are plugged or restricted by running a drill bit through them. Could be metal shavings from manufacture, or junk which was picked up while running. Don't change out the rudder just yet....

Thanks Fluid I will try that too. But I did blow thru the rudder itself from both ends and got good air flow, but I will try what you say I'm open to anything at this point. thanks again!!!

Can you post a picture of you water jacket , if your cooling can has swivel fittings and there not aligned this will restrict the flow .

Thanks guys for your responses, I will post some pics once I put it all back together. Took it apart to make some improvements. I think it's the rudder because when I disconnected the water lines to the rudder no water shot out the top when running????? But I will try again!

I always use a marker to mark the outside of the hex nut to line up the internal slot so I know they are lined up when installed with tubes. But i think it is important to check if any blockage in the rudder, air is easier to go through , water is much denser.
Too many boats, not enough time...
