Delta Force 26 power system help

Hi all, I have a hull that looks identical to the Delta force hull and I am wanting a power system for it, I have no idea of what to get... motor/ESC/Lipo/prop. Can anyone help here. I would like a fast boat with decent runtime. Thanks.

you could start with the stock SV stuff or
maybe an 2300 or 2600 ammo motor
    50-120 amp controller
    2-3s lipo 4000+mah
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

I would use a 2s or 3s lipo with a Feigao S or L motor. If you have lipo packs, let me know which sizes and I can suggest something.

i have a 25.5 df . we run n2 mono club level running a mile course. i run a Feigao 6L castle hydra 120 2s2p on a y536. You can run a 7L and prop it up but speed and handeling seem to be best with a 6L

If its the one on Ebay with the outrunner motor, I will be testing one with a 380 10L and 3s lipo 2500 mah this weekend. Won't be a rocket, but should be a good upgrade over the stock motor.

I basically got all the stuff this boat has.... http://cgi.ebay.com/25-deep-vee-kit-...742.m153.l1262 the motor is a 380L 28x58 2618kv. I think I will order 3S 2500mah packs like Steven but will wait for his results. I got my boats from here.... http://r2hobbies.com/proddetail.php?...2148cf65ecce8b so I have the stinger type outdrive and outrunner now. It comes with a 4mm flex cable with a square end and everyone seems to getting bad vibes from it so I will upgrade to a .130 and 3/16 propshaft to make it smooth. R2Hobbies told me to use 4S 2200mah packs so I got some and burnt up my ESC on the first run and the motor was smokin hot! I think they are taking care of everything though. I just thought I would get something a little better and this seemed like a slight upgrade and cheap to do so. If it does not work well I will just go with a 540L of some sort and use this system in my scratch build cat or my other 18" mono. Hope it works O.K. though.... I just wanna play! I would also like to say that out of all the forums I go on, this place seems to be the most helpful with the nicest people!

O.K. here is what I have done so far... it turns out that there is two bushings inside the stinger, the "lip" inside that I thought was part of the machined stinger is only a bushing. What I did was drilled out the bushings starting with a small bit and working my way up till the bushings popped out, then I continued to enlarge the inner hole with a 1/4" drill bit.... start at the "ball" end so it comes out straight at the other end, it gets a bit thin here and you might crack the aluminum if you start from the other end. Now keep in mind I used all simple hand tools to do all my work, a hand drill was used to do this part. While drilling the stinger the only hard part was holding it to prevent it from turning, you can wrap the stinger in rubber bands or many layers of duct tape and hold it with pliers, just work slow and make sure you don't scratch up the stinger. Next I cut a length of 1/4" brass tube the same length as the stinger, this is a nice snug fit but can be pressed in by hand, I don't think it needs to be glued but you can CA or Loctite it in if you like. Next I cut a piece of 7/32" brass tube the length of the prop shaft, this is the prop shaft bushing and perfect fit for the 3/16 prop shaft. I also added a 1/8" thick brass ring to one end cut from 1/4" brass tube, glued on with Loctite 603, this will prevent the part from pushing up into the stinger. I also drilled 4 rows of holes in the prop shaft bushing with a drill press, this is not needed but figured it will reduce drag and create little pockets for lube to sit in. This pic shows all the parts....

Here it is all together, very smooth and slop free! Best of all I have a .130 cable and 3/16" propshaft, sweet! Now I just have to instal the 7/32 stuffing tube in the boat.
