Making your own stickers / Decals ????

Well this has been on my mind for the last few years.

I want to be able to make my own stickers for my cars, boats & tool boxes. To get them made up cost a small fortune just for your name. There are a few machines out there for the hobbyists.

Andrea from our boat club showed my a add in a model flight magazine of a plotter & printer all in one that does up to A4 in size. This system is by iDecora for under $300 with software.

Has anyone gone down this road ? I really would like to get a good set up but not asking my bank manager for a loan.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

This might not be everything you want, but a club member told me about this site and I tried it out and got great results for a very low price. You can basically do any kind of lettering for your boat. Very good deal. Just hit the create tab and you can see how you do it.

Need a tool for creating custom vinyl letterings online? Choose from various vinyl lettering designs or upload your design. Place your order for printing.

    You will probably want:
    Premium 3M Cast Vinyl
    Weed and Tape Yourself
    Cut our but not removed

You can get it ready to install but the price is about double for a minute's work. You will need blue masking tape to install the lettering, and a sharp knife (Xacto) to pick up the edge of the background to remove it. It is really pretty easy.
