Have 2 hulls, Which to use :S

    Hey there,
I bought a cf cheetah, Reinforced with with coremat and cf, So its extremely strong but is prone to blow overs with high speed.
But now I came across a cheap Genesis hull brand new so I bought it. All of the hardware that I bought, TP 5660 1420kv, swordfish 300, running 2x4s will fit perfectly in the genesis and the genesis is a much much cheaper hull.

Should I put all my hardware (will just have to mod the rudder to fit on the small back area) in the genesis and just sell the Cheetah? I would get a lot more speed with the genesis would I be correct?

I do have a spare new castle 1717 1580kv motor, Would that be a better idea to use in the cheetah and just run it on 4s for fun?

    Thanks guys!
    Todd.

I would not compare a c.f hull with the a cheap genesis.Do not expect the genesis be more stable than the cheetah.56 motor in a genesis won't push you fast than a 4082 1600kv with same batts.search for genesis and you will see what I'm telling you.Gill
GO FAST AND TURN RIGHT !

I think he talking straight line speed. The cheetah will kill a genesis in the turns but I think the genesis would be a better bet for going fast straight. I'm going a little over 60mph with my cheetah and it fly's out the water. Here's an instance from last weekend and you'll notice the boat runs super smooth....

      That's running a 1650kv 1717 on 6s with a 447/3 octura prop

The genesis is incomparable to the cheetah for straight line speed, it will run much better. That 56 size motor is too big for both the genesis and cheetah. I'd sell it and get a tp 4060 motor, run 8s with that esc and you will be able to have a 75 mph boat.

This is my advice if speed is what you seek, the cheetah is great too but is built for the turns and racing a 56 size motor is also too big, the 1717 is probably the best motor for it.

Kfx thats 48k rpm, Quite a bit man.
And yeah I am thinking I will just build the Cheetah as planned, Use the 5660, If its too big meh, Ill just buy a 4060. Then I will make the genesis into a twin 4050 and see how that goes. Thanks for the advice.

Will post in my build thread when the motor finally gets to me. Id love to live in the states. under 5 day postage time, Here in Australia is 4-8 weeks to get anything.

You may have a harder time keeping the Genesis in the water at speed with a 56mm motor than you do with the Cheetah.
The Cheetah is a wetter running hull, but it's definitely better equipped to deal with the rotational force of the motor.
