I too like the water cooling idea for the outrunner motor. How effective it is I do not know but I am interested in others opinions based on experience or data.
The reason for this is that OR motors are very affordable here due to the large plane and heli market.
As posted in my other thread I am keen to have a go with a OR heli motor in my rigger.
Back on topic now.
That is a very nice looking boat and the price is very attractive.
I am however a little dubious of the speed estimate.See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood -
Nice looking hull and hardware, but The motor is way to small for that size hull. I'm not quite sure why these Asian manufacturers keep making this mistake.Steven Vaccaro

Nah... They are just cheap. I wonder If there Is a o-ring Inbetween the motor and the mount? If not that looks like a leak waiting to happen.
You know 90% of the time those asian companies do not test there product before mass producing them to the streets of the U.S. We saw that first hand with rcmk and there 4p rigger. It was a joke, the boat would not even get on plane for anyone and guess what? No refund, so sorry...
I bet they never even tested If that hull even needs trim tabs or not!
BTW, this Is not rage just, a rant for those of you that missunderstand Internet communication.Comment

I don't believe that is an "outrunner" motor as there are cooling lines running into the back of the motor.

your right about it being an inrunner but the mount could be used to cool an out runner too.
at any rate I was just pointing out the next chin copyThe Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.Comment
