Ok up date.
The motor magnet debonded again and the motor temps was only 130f,
In my search for info I found that some of the Leopard hobby motors were doing the same thing.
And also the Traxxas VXL are having the same problems with the glues debonding from the shaft.
I believe that Leopard redid the bonding with high temp glue and I think they fixed there problems.
So this time I tried some JB weld but that only lasted a couple runs,
Now I have the whole end plates, shaft, and magnet apart.
I plan of getting some 620 loctite and see if that will do the trick for good.
Just thought I share my findings so far.Last edited by lenny; 03-28-2014, 09:55 PM.Comment

Thanks for the update Lenny
I'll add some locktite's to my r/c shopping list. Too bad they don't make steel weld epoxy in a paste, that stuff is incredible strong ....Comment

Hears the funny part.
I went to the LHS that sell rc stuff and parts that has been in the business for years,
And they were clueless on anything about the motor or fixing it.
Also they did not know of any epoxy that would work,
They told me if I find something to let them.
Hear some pictures of my motor magnet and shaft with plates.

think the epoxy they use is a little heat sensitive. had a 3500 540 velineon do the same thing magnet didnt fall like a multi segment magnet but did loose its bond to the shaft. when i put a 5mm shaft stock it was a little loose. American made ?Comment
