    S-Bend in stuffing tube

I have a question for those who use or tried using a S-bend stuffing tube. My new build will need to use a S-bend so on my first attempt at one I find while spinning the flex shaft by hand I can feel the drag of the shaft in the bends. While up to this point all my builds I have always used a gentle J bend which has little rotational drag on the flex. What I was wondering is this normal or is the S-bend to short.

Can you not tilt the motor to get rid of the "S"?
If you do need the "S" do you really need the 3 inch straight section? That bottom bend looks very sharp and if you spread the bends over the whole 7-7/8" instead of just the first 4-7/8" both bends could be have a much bigger radius.
If you have to only bend the first 4-7/8", I would tighten up the top bend a little to allow the bottom bend to be smoother.

Thanks Paul I did manage to get a smoother radius on the bottom and that helped.
