will it hurt running a unfinished prop for testing

trying to find right prop for boat bought a x447 for my pursuit from (ose} before i go to balance and thin and all that good stuff . wonderd if it would hurt to run it raw to find out if i have to prop down some. running the stock motor now . but plan on going to a 4082 1800kv on 5s as funds allow still have to sell some old stuff before i can make that happen

Just imagine driving a car, with one wheel having a massive a 10kg weight inside the wheel hub. Every time that wheel slaps the ground it makes the car shudder and will cause damage. Same with props, The casts get old, and one side might be more heavier, besides that they are blunt as hell.
Even running the raw prop you wont be able to see if you need to prop down as you don't have a solid starting point.

Very bad idea to run that x447 with that setup at this time,
Plus It being raw will most likely burn something up fast.
You need to start with a small prop that is S&B like a x442,
And than run that setup for 1 minute and bring it in and check all temps and for any water in the boat.
Than if all good run for 2 minutes and check it all again.

Get some video's of how it is riding on the water,
And what the setups temps are to when you can.
