    My TFL Fleet.....

I have 4 TFL boats now and love them all.

The 2 Appartions are built up with different spec motors. Both are twin motors. One is running 4S and the other is a 6S scratch build up . The 4s ( One with the single safety loop wire) was my first FE and was a total wreck when it steered into the rocks at Boondal. I rebuilt it up which took 3 solid days but it is going strong once again. Pic doesn't show all the damage on the sides and underneath ..

The Outer Limits is just a sporting boat and has been neglected some what in tuning as I have been busy sorting out my other 3 race boats but a bigger rudder and a cheap Tunigy power plant for it is on the way.

The Smash Shark has been in tuning phase since i got it on X mass day and now has a bigger rudder, Turn fins, Trim tabs . one pice flex drive and a Leopard 4074 20200KV motor and a 440 3 blade prop.

I am very happy with all of these TFL boats in finish & quality hardware...

I have 3 TFL boats myself (Among others), a Genesis (First boat I bought), a Ariane II carbon fiber (Makes a killer Q mono), and a Popeye Hydro (still tuning on it for P Sport Hydro). IMO you can't beat them for Value, Quality, Fit and Finish..

        Hey Fella.
You should see his next boat to feed his addiction. A giant 1/8 scale Formula hydro. Gas to brushless conversion. A big hit for someone who has just started.

        Mark.
        They all look good together.

Your first 'Race Day' on Sunday man.
        Get Psyched.
As you've seen in practice, that Smash Shark has the legs in the straights. Just get it around the 10 bends & you'll earn some points first time out.
Just be careful in the bends with the cats. And watch the wakes from the bigger cats in the 6s class.

        Cheers.
        Paul.

              Yep you got that right.

Have spent the last 4 months preparing for racing this Sunday from scratch and what a heap to learn & too buy..

Been so much fun though & exciting to learn a new form of r/c. Of course the SSS Club and Lakeside are the best clubs & people that I have been associated with in 30 yrs of r/c .

              See ya Sunday

                  Hi Beniki ,

Mixed results really. My little restricted mono ( Delta Force 12 hull) was a real handful in the choppy windy conditions. Didn't finish one race but had esc problems too which didn't help.

My 4S Apparition was a jet and was going really well in the chop . First race I got 2nd to Paul. The Next run I got into the lead but pushed it a little hard and flipped it. Last race I stood on it again & turned turtle. A repaired stinger ( from when I hit the rocks broke again) So this needs to be fixed with new stingers and one piece flex drives for next meeting.

Could have done better but my results could have been worse in my my first meet. I do now understand why so many racers race more then 2 classes as I was waiting a long time between rounds.

I want more boats. Just asked my wife Katrina for her credit card & I saw cyclone Katrina coming on. I backed out before she turned into the full Hurricane Katrina LOL..
