1313 members here, it would seem to me that we could offer 4 or 5 classes and have 100 people easily at some race.

Why is this not happening?

Maybe we need to have a poll and ask people want they want and what it would take.

It would be cool to have a meet in nor cal area, like Sacramento, or organize a meet in various parts of the US for people that are close in that area, then we could meet each other, and have a small race or just hang out, just a idea.

I am not the hosting pary but there are three of us in soutwestern Michigan-northern indiana. KSSI has about the perfect size pond in his backyard for boats up to 40". Has complete 5 bouy course. Just tryin to get the word out there.

We are spread out pretty thin in the north east. I think out of the entire membership there are less then a dozzen in the tristate area.

I can tell you that we are growing faster than any other FE Boat forum on the net. And its because we have a solid core of good people answering and posting. Not because they are record holders(but quite a few are ), but because we all have conducted ourselves more like family members. Not beating on one another(well not often )

I tell my wife often, how I love to visit the forum and read the new stuff.

I would love to see and host something here in Missouri. We have a couple excellent locations. Sheratons at Westport in St. Louis have a big lake in front of thier hotel with rooms 30 feet from the water,s edge. As soon as I went to a meeting there I thought holy crap this would be a killer race site! Yes, I know the GM of the property and the owner as well and it is only 30 minutes from the St. Louis airport.

I was considering trying to have a nationals there but maybe I am just dreaming.

Well, if I was doing something. I would get local insurance and not do NAMBA or the IMPBA. Find a site that people would travel to and have some common classes.

I was going to have one at the State Park here one time and event conflicition of other races sites made us cancel. The Park told me insurance was already in place and not needed.

Firstly the old "location" field in your profiles is now a 2 character state abbreviation field. If you would like other members to find you. Fix this field in your profiles.
Now you can go here
