I would, just de-solder them, do not cut, strip the shrink tube with hobby knife and put solder iron tip on the spot and will not be difficult to de-solder. That is one place when you will see heat building up.
Got to go to work, sorry
    Good Luck!

Crap just checked and yes ones that came on motor were banana clip style. I made the extension out of 4mm to match but I used the bullet style ones not the banana clip. So should I just scrap all those and put 5mm on everything then?
Looks really great! you can run the boat and not worry about it, in the long run you may consider to take them out. I did not read carefully and thought you replaced the 5.5mm with 4mm, sorry.

        Hey,
Just go with the 5.5 bullets all the way in the setup and keep the esc where you have it now.
Than just flip your packs so the wires are at the motor mount,
And the wires should reach with out the extensions.
Just run the port side pack red wire over the esc and motor wires and to the red esc wire,
Or you could put the esc on top like this but still flip the packs like I said above.

I actually just found a good deal on 6mm bullets where I was ordering some batteries. So Ill re-do everything with those. The extensions I made today were for the ESC to motor wires because when I switched ESC to current position then they didn't reach! Ive got some lipos coming that will work better. Is that your UL-1 Lenny? Its running 5s. What motor and ESC are in there? Thx Jeff
