Who on here has converted a large two stroke gas boat to electric?

I have a large gas mono that I'm having a hard time finding all the bits and pieces to make it run so I'm kinda looking for ideas or waying my options if you will if you don't mind tell me a little about the boat you converted what was it how big was it what motor,esc and battery did you settle on did you run it with the gas engine how did it compare weight and performance what has engine did it have and were you happy with it when done

Many of us have built FE conversions of gas hulls. There are many ways to go depending on your expectations and budget. There are also many build threads on the forums, a search will give you lots of ideas. I love my ACBoats R-42 with FE power.

Jay, do you have pictures or a thread for your R-42, I like the look of it and would like to see what you did with the hatch for FE, it doesn't looks as simple to do well as the Aeromarine's from the front/side pictures on ACBoats website.

Paul, I had a thread last year. Search for R-42 with author Fluid. I used the new full "Offshore" hatch.

I run the R42. They make an offshore hatch. Easy to tape.
