    Twin electric motor control - how?

    I want to run a twin motor low speed very manuverable barge, from a 2 channel standard transmitter. I know the cheap boats do it with a 2 channel stick transmitter, the electrics in these boats wouldn't be able to handle the amps, so I know it can be done, but cant work out the electrics in the boat. Can any one help with some set ups please.

    I am not wanting to use rudders, I want to use the motors as thrust and steering with forward and reverse

      I deleted my response because I figured that is what you mean and honestly I have no idea and hate to BS, surely someone with knowledge will help you.
      Cheers!

        I have a plug in mixer that uses steering input to dampen throttle input.actually you can almost shut down one motor while throttling up the other. Some transmitters have this mixing ability. The gizmo is a custom built for me piece but I can see if he would do/have another.
        Is this what you are after?

        This is it, http://youtu.be/CCxAs3tXVwY. You just hook speedy's where those servos are.

          That's a cool mixing unit Shaun!! But Is this going to be a brushless setup? Reverse could also be a task on its own, not too many boat ESC's like that feature.

            Try doing a search on a few of the scale RC tank forums, I'm not into tanks but have looked at quite a few pics of them online, they are controlling two motors in the exact same fashion as you want to.
            Brushed or brushless doesn't make any difference at all, the transmitter only sends one kind of signal it has no idea what it is actually trying to control. That signal is actually interpreted by the esc or servo. The rx just passes along the data and provides the voltage for the thing to work.
            Hope this helps a bit.
            If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

              As has always been the case Kent. The Castles seem to be fine with it(for scale purposes). M-troniks is another for scale stuff.

              Mostly as long as a solid shaft is used reverse is fine. Flexes will unravel and mess things up.

                @aussiejules
                Asuming that you will use 2 motors and 2 ESCs, you need something like this:

                Regards
