Has anyone had the idea or tried racing a heat race with full fpv gear on there boat? This seems like it would be fairly simple to achieve considering there is no long range needed here..

Be my guest! I've had enough collisions with other boats with a full "field of view", can't imagine not being able to see the other boat catching up and passing on the inside going into a turn until it's in front of you.
LOL would be just like 90% of the drivers on the road who don't have any use for the mirrors or a shoulder check when changing lanes.
I admit it would be fun with no other boats on the water, would be carnage in a race.
Even with a spotter it would be a mess, they might call out a dead boat but if you can't look far enough ahead to actually see where it is and run your line accordingly.....carnage!If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps? -

I wouldn't for see it being too different from full scale, field of view in those sucks. At least it did when we ran back in the early 2000s. Is it possible to do a two camera view with Fpv, like a rear facing and forward facing. May make you kinda nauseous.HPR 135 redemption, HPR C5009, modded zelos 36, 32 boats and counting.
Flier ESC dealer, pm me for details.

Didn't you post this somewhere else?
Either way, the scale speeds would probably be in excess of 300mph. Can you drive a car at 300mph and keep peripheral awareness?Comment
