Run time difference 1400kv vs 1500kv

Just wondering what the approx run time difference would be between two identical motors, same setup just different kv's?

I know there's lots or variables but just looking for a very approx based on real world experience, I am guessing it will be minimal?

Minimal difference. It all depends on how you load the motors. Actually a 2200 Kv motor could give longer run times than a 1500 Kv motor.

Assuming your "same setup includes the same prop you are looking at somewhere in the region of 15% difference in runtime, it will definitely be much more than the 7.5% difference in RPM.

As Fluid eluded to you might find something totally different more efficient. Comes down to how the prop loads. The same motor 1400 and 1500 probably are not both D or Y winds. A D to a Y with the same prop could have totally different results. In a car carb, cam, compression and gears have to work together. Changing one may not improve the package. On a boat the motor and prop with hull style and weight have to work in harmony. Even what you think may be small changes can throw the package off.
