    Trying to find....

Hi Guys, I'm trying to find some stuff on setting up outrigger hydros by Sweetaccord ( I think that's right), I've read it before but dunno where to find it now! Basically I want to build some new sponsons for my rigger and just need to get my head around a few things before I start.

I can't remember anything he posted about rigger setup, but here is an article which may help:

Thanks Fluid, there is some useful stuff in that. What I want to get right is the ratio between afterplane length, cog, and turn fin placement. What I've found is that going from a 1P to 2P setup the cog has moved forward 35mm. With 2P I can run a much bigger prop which naturally gives more speed. The boat does however tend to run a tad nose heavy, which can mean it will stuff in if running on rough water. (Didn't stop me winning the race but!) So what I'm trying to figure out is should I move the sponsons forward to compensate? And is there a 'magical' formula that I can use to work out the best positioning. Any help is appreciated as I want to try and retain the open title I won this year at our next Nats at easter. Y'know how it is.....addictive!
