    Xzess Mr.Crabs motor mount.

    Will this mount fit the width of the hull and mount? anyone know the inside width dimensions?

    If that mount spacing is the same as the one I posted it will work the mount I posted is in my Dr super evo

      I built motor, strut, rudder and turn fin brackets out of carbon fiber. Let me know if you want me to post some pictures.

        Yes definitely! Heres the deal, I bought a rip version off of eBay today, I offered the guy a price, he took it, so Im just waiting now. Im trashing the motor mount and hardware that it comes with, for speedmaster equipment, and better motor mount. I have a Neu 1512 laying around, Ill prolly run 4s. Just really looking to use a mount that bolts to the sides of the hull.

          What Prop? Are you on 4s? Motor and ESC I really like the looks just wondering and how quick does it run? It has style to it's shape that's what I love about it.

            Here are some pictures. I've only raced it once, my very first race at the FE Nats 2013. I ran a stock H-10 on it. It ran very well. Had a couple seconds! I had a DNF on the last heat. Word of caution is to check and re-tighten the compression fittings on the booms. The last heat the inside sponson slipped off the boom. I ran it with P-spec set-up. Aqua-craft 2030, hydra 120, Hyperion 5000, High 50's on Voltron 2. I have a ton of hours in the Carbon Fiber components. I will custom paint it next. I will convert it to a 6s set-up for a pond rocket. I don't know if I will race it again. I love this boat and I just don't want to destroy it. I'm currently building a CF Raptor and PT Slealth for my first race season with the club. These will be dedicated race boats. Check out the round tube Carbon Fiber battery tie down loops In pics below. Easy to build and very effective with the Velcro belt strap. The turn fin mount has two 3 inch long forks that slide through holes and are epoxied to inside sponson wall. Super strong, no screws, and out of the airstream. The rear mounts also extend and are epoxied inside. Light, strong and no mounting brackets or screws. Nate, just build a motor mount and epoxy it into the inside. Look closely and you will see I made mine with 3 pieces. Motor plate and two tabs "epoxied" to side of hull.

                Quick question on this hull, off topic, But would there be anything positive (speed related) on cutting the carbon rods, and pulling the sponsons closer to the hull, taking the overall width of this hull down?

                    Nate, You will not gain speed, reduce drag etc. by cutting the booms and making the footprint narrower. Im running 15 inches between the sponsons. The width gives the boat stability and the reason riggers turn flat at WOT. Someone might be able to chime in about a formula to determine the proper width, a length/width formula etc. to determine a starting point for width. I followed the recommended specs from H&M. Your footprint Question will most likely be a very small consideration in performance and speed. The motor, ESC, prop, strut set-up, batteries, ESC timing will be the key elements to getting the optimum, not the fastest, but the most desirable "safe" "reliable" "enjoyable" performance out of your complete FE package.

                      Formula for sponson distence most hulls use a 2-to-1 setup, i.e., for every inch between the sponsons, there are 2 inches from the rear of the sponsons to the transom . so if you have a 28 inch afterplane you sponsons should have 14 inch spacing more is better

                          Run them at 15 inch they will be stong enough and the boat will be more stable I run gas as well and they are at 18 on a gas rigger
