Question about off center strut location and the benefit

Good morning

I'm building a boat and I own a revolt 30 and noticed the off center location of the driveline coming out of the boat on the right side slightly.

I need to drill my new boat for driveline install and would like to know if I should do mine the same as the Revolt 30???
