    R2hobbies silverfox 36 catamaran Single set up.

    Need to ask if any body has this problem after build this catamaran silverfox 36 from r2hobbies set up I used on this boat leopard 40/82-2200kv a turmigy 180 speed control running on 5cell set up.my problem in steering in turn like to smaps like crazy I try lost of expo on it and still snap violently.any advised on drive set up and rotor position will help thanks for any help in advance.

    Make the rudder offset. Kintec has an adapter I think or use some aluminum if you can get some yourself.

    What do you mean it Snaps ?

      Hi ray allready had the offset bracket on it from kintec .snaps I mean spins out violently in stray run will fly but wem you starting to turn at speeds spins out of control.no fun at all.

        Can you post some pictures and tells us what prop you run and 5s1p or 5s2p? Need to see the setup for prop depth etc...

          Yes I will I'm new to forum so I have to figure out how to post pic and videos but prop I'm running is a Cnc aluminum prop 42mm1.4 pitch strut set up Boton of pontoon to start. Running 3 and 2 cell in series 5000mha turnigy 20c.

            How fast are u cornering some hulls don't turn very well at h igh speeds

              Hi steveo my cornering is a regular speeds but gets worts as I go faster I know catamaran are not as planted than a v hull but I also have a genesis catamaran too and runs fine in turn almost at any speed I new to boating got couple boats and sailboat too but this boat have me baffle starting to think tha may be could be rotor position may be is to far back.thanks for any ideas as zoom I figure out how to post pic and video I will put in here or you tube links.

                A God place to start is with you center of gravity (COG) 33% from transom, in your case 12" from the back.
                I set my starting strut angle even with the plane of the boat with the hub of the prop on centerline of that plane.
                From this basic starting point you can adjust the strut and batteries to the ride you want based on conditions and speed.
                Video and pictures will definitely help!

                  Thanks you for all you reply very helpfully.today took boat to the pound to try some new changes I made happy reply problem solved.steering rotor move back closed to the transon I that made a word now boat handles pretty good mow I can continue with set up thank again everybody for the help.
