Unbelievably easy way to slide the Aquacraft cooling jacket on the motor

[Mod; not sure where to post this; move if needed]

I like the gold Aquacraft cooling jacket ; priced right and lots of waterline direction options. Some have effortlessly slid right on, others, in spite of countless attempts (and exhausting my vocabulary of obscenities) won't fit NO MATTER WHAT. Ran into one such jacket today - no luck getting it on without dragging the O-ring out of the cooler in many, many attempts. There's been lots of others reporting this over time as well as far back as I can remember. Then I had what the great psychoanalytic minds of our time call an "A-HA" moment (also known to layman as a "DUH"). Fired up the face grinder, put a tiny taper on the endbell, smoothed out with a fine emory board and BINGO !!!! Slid right the on. Yeah Buddy

Illegal....epoxy the taper material you removed back on and cut off the extra heatshrink that is probably already on the motor wires.

This now brings into question any future race wins/records you might set.

Yup, much lighter too after removing all that material

Oh, and BTW this motor is going into my Jersey Skiff which isn't a NAMBA class and likely will never enter competition unless as an exhibition class.

Now that is dry, I have to love this dry humor. You just shot the ball across the bow of the boat
