Blazer Sport 40 or ML Boatworks SX-400

Anyone have any recommendations or thoughts about which is a better 6s hull? Also is anyone able to give me advice on motors etc for these boats?

Sounds good! I like the look of both boats. Have you decided on a motor and ESC for yours?

Thats a pretty stout powerplant! I had the same motor recommended for my 1/8 scale hydro with more cells of course....

yes it should get the boat to 70 mph with a good setup, and i build all my boats heavy and strong.

My .40 Whip is the fastest Q-sport in the country!!! just a tick faster than Mike Ball's (his is a PTss40)!!! w 1 1527/1y on 6s. 70mph on a race setup is pushing it, mine is in the mid 60's and is rock solid, no need to go any faster than that to be a great boat. MIne is built heavy and strong and holds the pins like it's nobody's business. All 3 are good boats it just takes some time to get them setup right.

Thanks, Mike! Do you have any pics you could post of your rig/setup?

shoot me a text at 917-417-0241 i'll try and get some this week, it's much easier than downloading to the computer. it's a standard build no extra ride pads or anything special, but prop, strut depth and turn fin angle are all pretty critical.
