Pictures of Pop Eye transom and location of motor mount

Hi Wetter, this is for you:
    DSCN4773_5138.jpg DSCN4774_5139.jpgDSCN4775_5140.jpg
as you can see, the transom has a special platform for mounting the strut and rudder. The front ( collet end) of the motor mount is roughly 9.5" from the transom.DSCN4778_5143.jpg
The enter slot for the stuffing tube is : DSCN4777_5142.jpg
I plan to run 4s2p, my COG is roughly 2.5 from the back of the sponson.
If you build yourself, you can move the motor slightly more towards the rear so there will be more room to adjust the COG. One thought was to place the battery( ies) laterally so they are mounted further towards the front, I personally prefer not to do it this way, but that is just me.

    hello, and thankyou tlanddauer
    i see clearly now.
still learning these build prospects and do not need a mulligan.
i appreciate your time on pics.
i should buy an ARR but have just about every thing to do one from scratch
UL-1 would be my quickest cheat into a Hydo, but fancy the Popeye hull size and looks plus the info on how many threads? pushed me into the mix.

                  Thanks Tim,
It looks really nice in that green color scheme.
How is the layup of the hull thick or thin ?

I don't know what is considered as thin and thick, it is of good quality for that price and more refined than my Pursuit which I understand is also a TFL hull. I put a layer of FG inside the hull, as much as I can get to, on the side ( near the floor and the wall) I added an additional layer only because of the crack that was caused by transport.
Mine is really rock solid and I am glad I did that, but I don't think it is necessary though, Doby and others did not do that, they only put JB Weld outside the exit of the stuffing tube, as you can see I did that plus an inside job as well.
I wish I have time to go to the pond

so the up grade is to do a straight stuffn' tube and beef up the inner shell?
now Steve V. is going to have a new Hydro for sell in a few weeks
New Vortex 34 (33.75") by delta force is coming.
                        Oh my!

No reason to do any of those "upgrades".

Tim only added the Fiberglass due to some shipping damage.
