    LVC setting??

    HI,
I'm new to this so bear with me.
First of all I'm running a H&M viper with a 12L motor and a Hydra120 ESC and 4S1P 4900 Mah packs. Also have a 637 prop on it.
Wondering what I should have My ESC set at for LVC ??
Right now it's at custom and 13.2 v.
I'm only getting about 1 minute run times.
Boat flys at about 50 mph but I would like longer run times.
    ESC temp=107, battery temps= 98, and motor=105.
What would be a safe setting on the LVC ?
    Thanx in advance..
    Tom H.

13.2v is a safe point to cutoff...
about the post you had on the other forum,
have you tested another ESC on the same boat/setup
to see if the issue is the ESC?
    :::::::::::::::. It's NEVER fast enough! .:::::::::::::::

      HI,
I haven't tried another ESC yet.
I changed my LVC to 12v. and will try that later today..
      Thanx for the info :)

A safe acceptable LVC for a lipo cell is 3v. Since your pack is a 4S or has 4 cells it would be 3v x 4 = 12v. Looks like your good to go.

And as I noted elsewhere, the LVC is set for a loaded voltage and the unloaded voltage will be higher so there is very little risk of damage to your cells.

Beyond that, you should not really be relying on the LVC to kick in. It is really there as a safety backup in my mind.
          Don't get me started

Looks like the LVC set at 12v. did the trick.
I would guess at three minutes for the time as I ran the boat a litte and brought it in to get some weeds off the prop and then ran it again.
When I charged the Batteries this AM before going out , (they had been left sitting since I last ran it yesterday for that minute run) The charger said about 700Mah put into each pack. Would that be close to what it should have been for that one minute run?
            Temps today were bats=98, motor=105 and ESC=120
The LVC never kicked in today, which was good :)
I just wanted to get over 2 mins. runtime in case I get to run with the Nitro Boys..I think the 5 lap heats on a 1/5 mile course take a little over 1 and 1/2 mins.?
Gps today at 46.5mph with the 637 prop.
Lake has got to be a lot smoother for these little boats !! I'm used to running the Gas ones over 45" LOL

            Thanx guys..
