Converting a nitro cat to electric

    Hey ose people!
I bought a new bj26 ss nitro hull for $45. It has the red anodized strut and rudder w/water pick up and flex shaft (i think he said he bought the parts here on ose)

    I either want to

    A) Convert it to brushless
    or
    B) Turn it into my rescue boat.

Has anybody here turned this hull into brushless successfully and if so how, and how does it handle the extra speed and power.
Ive never converted anything to electric before so ANY input will be appreciated.

    Thanks!

you can copy the whole sepup of bj26 brushless version or get something similar and running on 4s, its a good looking hull but dont do turning very good, recomending 36mm size motor 2000-2200kv, 120-180a esc and 4s pack, x442 alway a good start.

Click on the OSE parts link under the big banner at the top of the page and go to motor mounts, I'm not familiar with the either version of that boat other than pictures online, but something under the motor mounts section should work. Or try to find some pictures of the electric version and copy what they did.
Might have to cut out the nitro mount to install an electric mount, sorry no other ideas.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Its really slow around here, the weathers gone Cold for a lot of us. People taking a break from things etc. if you stated what you were going to use it for people can help. A bj26 fast electric setup is complety at odds with rescue boat setup. people aren't going to waste there time when you don't know what you want. I found that out the hardway to! A simple.search to find out motor size and kv, esc amp rating, prop size of stock unit a picture of your boat all listed in one thread. Now people can put together setups for you. You have to find out how fast people are mqking them go qne decide speed and run times you would like, I forgot stock bj brushless batterie size.
Do some reading and come back with the brushless numbers and your intended use. The rest will fall together after you go t that info up!
