I do not see any 150a esc at HK for boats,
Why not just use the T120a with added caps ?
I am running one in my 36"shockwave with no problems and no heat from the setup.Comment

When I first did the 36"SW mod my temps on the caps were 180f or more sometimes but all the other temps were warm.
Than when I added the caps to the setup they came down to 110f to 125f sometimes.Comment

http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...ooled_ESC.html
The T120a is rated as a constant and has a higher burst rate at 240a.

But like anything you read,
Just because they say it is rated at that, Does not mean it really is that all the time.Last edited by lenny; 12-01-2013, 12:32 PM.Comment

No problem.
I may try pulling it from the 36"SW and testing it in the pursuit setup that I am running now on 4s,5s,6s,
But if I do I will start with a x445 and test it and move back up to the x447/3.Comment

Looks suspiciously like the Turnigy 160 amp sensorless 1/8 scale car esc with a water cooling plate in place of the fan.
Personally I'd spend 10$ less and get the T-120 marine or 30$ more and get the T-180. Worth it IMO to get an esc that is a known quality product that has been well tested and abused in boats.
Remember it's HK, if it goes up in smoke you are SOL. Being said I'd order a Seaking from OSE. Same thing but with service and support.......If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?Comment
