    noob help!!

hello all i didn't find anything on the forums about so I am going to throw it out there...

i have a hacker 120 amp brushless speed control and traxxas blast i found at a garage sale with no electronics in it i have since converted it to run on a 12 turn trinity motor and a 34 mm prop with that big speed control and a 2s3p 4500 lipo I was wondering what i would have to do to put that big speed control to use.

    any help is appreciated

Are you asking about programming or hooking it up?

It sounds like he wants to know what motor he can use with the esc and lipo

a brushless esc will need a brushless motor.
a brushed motor will need a brushed esc.
to my knowledge the two are not interchangeable.
that would be a nice esc for an sv motor, ammo, or feigao

I was trying to ask what motor/drive line mods/prop i will need I am thinking about the aqua craft 1800 kv motor with a .130 cable drive or a graupner jet drive. if i go with the cable drive what prop should i use? and would the jet drive handle the power?

the jet drive is the worst propulsion system on the planet if you are looking for speed. you lose a lot of power through the drive. (at least you do with full scale, I'm guessing it would be the same for smaller). I would go with the flex shaft system. with that esc you could go with some decent power, so I would opt for a .150 cable. you might want to check ebay for a crashed SV27 so you can use the drive line out of it for your project.

I think it will work to an extent then after that it wont. Jet drives have a limit i think the brushed setup will get that movin pretty good and use that motor to the fullest. From what heard you dont really want to use a brushless motor on a jet drive. The reason the jet drive will give you speed until you get to a certain rpm. So if you put in a nice high rpm setup you might only get 3/4 + or - of the power you can make. Depending on how many rpm's your making. I want to say 9000or 10,000 is the max rpm but no sure thou. But yes Avanti27offshore you are right to on extent and wrong the US Navy has a cat i cant remember the name but it goes around 50 60 knots i think its over 200 ft long.
