    General setup question

Ok so I want my boat to run fast but don't want to burn anything up. I was thinking about putting my Leopard Hobbies 2200 kv motor in my Genesis cat. I am running a 80amp ESC on 4s just wanted to know if running this motor is a bad thing. if no what prop would one suggest that I run to be fast and safe.

Is the esc a high volt 80a ?
    That motor would be good,
But the esc I would bump up to a 120a or 180a seaking or turnigy.
Than start with a x442 and may be move up from there doing temp check as you go up in prop sizes.
    In that 37" hull I run a neu 1515 1y 2200kv with a 180a and x442 prop on 4s 40c 5800mah in parallel,
When you get setup right and running smooth,
And aired out try a m445 for a little more speed but less run time with the same cells.

Hears a video of mine with the setup above a few years ago,
I still need to paint it and get some new video's of it.

I agree with Lenny. I am not sure what the specs are for that hull, but if its a 30"-31" you should be OK with an m445 as well. Correct me if I am wrong Lenny, but I am running a stock ul-1 setup in my mm on 4s m445. Its not to shabby. That is a smokin' paint job Agent Orange, I like it. I had a Vision Agent Orange skateboard back about 85' or so :-) ....
