    No Step 4 set up for Q mono

    Ok
    I am setting up a no step4 36" for q mono. I have seen it done a few way batteries in the front motor in the back
    motor up front batteries in the back. just thinking about which way to go before I put the stringers in.
    motor will be a neu 1527 1y, castle ice 240 2 -6s 3300 any ideas or pictures would be great

    Fred-My Delta Force has the motor in the back, I think 5" from the transom. I like the shorter cable length. I also like the batteries along the keel line, so the motor-in-the-back layout helps accomplish this. ESC goes between the motor and cells, and kind of favors he left side of the hull.

      I see people mounting the motors on this Monos kind of in the middle... Doesn't work for me. I always mount the motors in my Monos as far back as practical, then make a place for batteries, like David said, down the middle, as low as possible. There are "strange" effects that can take place when you mount that much rotating mass up towards the CG... Plus, the shorter driveshaft doesn't wrap or whip as much.
