    P Hydro 2P or 1P

Was wondering with the higher C rated lipos is it still a good idea to run the boat using a 2P setup.
If so would you use anything lower then 4000mah packs.

    Thanks

    Amp
Draw is not an issue with the high draw cells. A nice set if 5000mah cells will do it. For a full blown pHydro you could pull out 3000 mah in 1 minute. Would be 180 amps. You would be halling the mail at that speed. You could
Do it At 150 Amps and still be flying. If you do want to run 2 p you could run 3300mah cells. That's what in run in my tHydro on 10s. Gets warm but does about 80.

I run a good quality single 6600 mah pack on my P-Hydro and she books. No problems with the pack being able to push out the amps and getting warm but I wouldn't feel comfortable going any lower in mah for heat racing.

I run a single 45C 5000mAh pack for P hydro and this is sufficient for a heat race with margin for 2-3 additional laps.

all depends on the boat, the current crop of P-hydros like the JAE's are light enuf and run light on the water to run 1P, my P-hydro is a CMDI .40 nitro boat converted to electric and it's a brick, I need every bit of 10,000mah not for runtime but for amp draw. gotta figure a way to make that bitch run lighter on the wat6er!!!! be careful w/ the dinogy 6000's make sure they fit ur boat, the Dinogys are great batts but the 6000's are longer than 5000's not thicker. about 2-1/2" longer than the 5000's.

Mike thanks for the heads up about the length. I plan on building a whip20 to use don't know if I will ever race it so doing 7 laps on the course isn't really a must I'm just getting tired of
going through UL1 motors so I thought try P instead. But I could end up with a Jae 21 I have a Jae 12 I built running on 2S that's fun.
