    HPR C010 mono "chine walk"??

Hello, I just built a Hpr c010 mono with twin TP 4082 and original stingers. The cg is at 30% from stern.
I have big problems when the boat goes over 70kmt, the boat starts "china walk" a lot. I have tried to change cg between 30 and 27% from stern , lifted and lowered the stingers and the same problem.. ??

Props are x442 and x448.. Same problem with 442 and 448.

    Thanks for any replay..
If not today, maybe to morrow..

Pics of the transom would help to answer the question.

I am not familiar with that particular hull as a twin, but you may have to raise the stingers (not change their angle) to reduce the chine walk. Monos chine walk when they try to balance on the sharp keel - any small disturbance can start the chine walk. By lowering the hull into the water a bit there is more support for the hull and a dampening effect on the chine walk. This may slow the boat a bit but the increased stability is usually worth it. As Tyler said, a few photos would be a big help.

Some pictures, as you can see its not possible to raise the stingers, only angel :-) But I agree with you, more hull I the water and more stability.

The drives look a mounted a little low, have you tried to spin props outward? Cool looking boat by the way

                .
thay is why i'm not a big fan af stingers : you can not lower or raise the prop in the water without changing the angle

this hull has a very sharp V so it will easily suffer from chine-walk

Spining the props outward should help in the straights and turning. My 59" mono will do the same thing if the hull was upset at all with the props spinning in. Turning would also be very touchy.

                      Hey Tom,
Other than this problem, how do you like the hull? I've been eyeing it for a while and wanted to do the same set up as you, tps and the full hpr setup? Anyway, can you give me your impressions? Either here or in a pm if you don't want to clog the thread...

Thanks and good luck solving the chine walk...

                      -Michael

I think I fixed the problem, props are now spinning outwards and the boat are on rails :-) turns perfect..
I did not measure top speed but maybe tomorrow.

And Michael the boat has perfect finish and it looks very good. I believe that the quality to HPR are some of the best you can get.
I also have a HPR C5009 and I love the boat, top speed so fare 89mph :-)

Very cool, like the M colors, I always miss my e36 m3, had it for 3 years and loved every second wit thy car...

I am havin trouble between getting another cat, or trying the hpr mono...no matter what my next hull will be an HPR. I wish he still made the c5009
