    Titanium screws

    is anyone using titanium screws for their boats.
    i use them on my rc cars and trucks when i can.
    once again just curious.

    I don't and I don't know if anyone that does. As a matter of fact I add lead to some of my boats to keep them right side up in rough water.

      For some SAW applications yes, but otherwise 90% of the time I use stainless or alloy steel for joints that need cranking on like rudder pivot bolts. The weight typically makes very little difference and if it does you should probably be looking at aluminum.

        i just have a lot of 3mm & 4mm screws left over from different builds.
        i know they are light and strong but are not that strong not like black hardened steel which rusts.
        i will stick with SS when possible but curious what you all thought.
        i tried to find a thread before posting.
