I ordered a set of x442 and x447 from Steve this AM. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll be here in time to run this weekend!?!

Do you guys think detongue and backcut, or sharpen/thin/balance and leave them as is?

I will shoot some video either way with the 45mm carbon props...

Thanks for all the input so far!!!!

If I pull the stingers and do a little more grinding I can get a couple more degrees up, right now they are adjusted slighly positive as far as they will go.
Looks like I'm sitting at 36.11% COG right now...dang!
36% is good for speed. Now you just got to get it there. The 1800's will need the 5s to do that. I have not run any of those motors but it should be within limits. The upgrade in props should really help. The carbon do flex a lot.

        Thanks!
I've run the stock AQ1800kV/AQ60ESC in my Revolt30 up to a modified x648 with no heat issues...though it really likes the m645.
I'll see what happens with the new props...

should be fine. as with most boats the real amp draw and heat comes from nailing it from a dead start. To give you an idea my boat pulls 250 amps if I get on it from a dead stop to top speed, once topped out amps drop to 160.

If the esc survived the revolt 30 up to that x648 you should be fine working your way up. The 445s would be a good choice, I definitely wouldn't use the AQ esc with the 2300kv motors but if you can get hold of a pair of seakings at some point 2300kv and 4-5s per motor you'll be moving.

At one point the 2300 was a popular upgrade for the SV27 with the 45A ESC, though I was running it on my DF26, AQ60AESC with X642 this weekend and heated the motor and battery leads enough (w/ 5.5mm connectors) to melt into the pool noodle flotation foam! ESC was still cool, but the motor was pretty warm.

I will be easy on my my launches...thanks for the tip!

OK, so here's a poorly shot video of the cat with the 2300KV motors spinning new s&b x442 props. Steve had them on my doorstep on Friday! Way to go Steve/OSE!!!!!

Really brisk wind, just under white cap but GPS recorded 43mph. I'll try again tomorrow with those for a run and then drop the UL1 motors back in with those props, hopefully with a bit less chop.

I really should have had the packs further fwd on this run:http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fp2dYfzTuFc

I've only back cut one prop and I was trying to reduce load more then lift so I can't really say. I mostly stick to detounging, cupping, and rounding the pointy octura tips since I've had good results with those mods.

Not even willing to venture into theory on this one.

Understood......I haven't ventured into cupping...that's a whole new dimension (literally) for me.
                  I appreciate your input.
Hopefully tomorrow will give me calmer seas and higher speeds :)

It is hard to get the potential out of her in that chop. Hopefully the next run will be calm. Look forward to watching.

Not quite as calm as I was hoping, but GPS at 50.2 mph. Running pretty loose in a 7 knot breeze with a bit of chop.
Still with the the Electrify Ammo 2300 and x442 props.
I've finally broken my 50 mph barrier...just barely, but take it! :)
                      Here's the run:

                      Footage pre run:

Thanks for your help and support thus far all!
I'm going to run this setup again on calm waters then switch in the UL1 motors with these props.

                        The pre-run is a teaser???
The "run" is "Private", no-can-see. But I understand if that was intentional. Anyway, looks good on the bench!
Happy Boating! I really want to build a twin myself, one of these days...

Thanks for fixing it, I like what I see, beautiful lake and I would be happy man if some of my boats can run in this kind of condition, I am def. tagging along this thread and want to see more!
Here is something for me to brag about, I am the first to view this clip!

That was just enough chop to break her loose to get some speed, and scary moments. Looks good though. Good job, and I agree, very nice lake to run. Good and open
