Recently found this forum and looking forward to many late night hours of reading and writing

Semi Retired Brit living in Seattle WA Actually in Kent but close enough
Have enjoyed lots of RC sport over the years but never ventured into Boats

last few years I have been involved in Drag Racing Slot cars and have really liked the sport having gained the knowledge and tools to build competition winning AA/FCs

My interests are now looking for a new avenue of excitment,disappointment ,late nights ,lack of funds and generally beating my brains out when something will not do as i think it should although totaly ignoring the laws of Physics is some thing that I have come to love.

So after all that My first question is although it probably goes against the normal way of things I would like to challenge myself by buildiing a Fast /Quick Electric boat and am looking for some suggestions I may not get involved in Racing per se but interested in pure perfomance of speed .
I already have a few ideas but very open to stay awake for a few weeks considering the options I do have some good mechanical skills and have dabbled in Electrickery of the solid state kind

You'll be hard pressed to find someone willing to recommend 100+ mph setups for a new guy. Not trying to be a negative nancy but that's full boogy for someone with no on water experience. Some of the most experienced guys I know haven't been over 100mph.

Welcome and glad your here asking the right questions. I have been involved in Drag Racing for 50 years. In RC Boats for 40 years just as a hobby keeping it fun. Now after all the years I am just starting to learn about SAW RC Boating. I have a lot to learn and don't even have a SAW boat yet but I will as $$ permit me too. Best advice I can give you is Join IMPBA and NAMBA and plan trips to SAW races. Oh you do what to run SAW correct? Oval is a whole different story. Either way the guy's here will keep you going in the Correct Direction.
