    ML Boatworks Kits

For a newbie..how difficult are ML Boatworks to build and finish? I am interested in a 1/10 scale 1977 Atlas Van lines or 1986 7-11 hydro. Thinking of a winter project. Thanks all.

Hey, Just sent you a PM about the 77 Atlas. Keep looking around here on OSE and Intlwaters. There are a lot of guys that have built my kits, and they are very pleased. I am sure some will come forward on this thread as well. I will let them speak for themselves! Mike, ML Boatworks

A buddy of mine John Mclean on here built a 335 sport hydro last winter, fast boat! He had no problems whatsoever, said it was one of the easiest builds he had done. The fit of all the parts looks amazing, went together fast and straight.
My next scale build will be one of his 1/8 kits, wanted a 1/8 hydro since the 80's!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I usually scratch build my models. But the first two 'kits' I've ever built, are Mikes' U-95 & a GP400. I'm half way through a GP300 at the moment. These kits just fall together if you follow the instructions. In fact, I built the sponsons of the GP400 & GP300 on the coffee table while watching TV. A small building board, a piece of aluminium angle & some small clamps.
Needed a bit more space for the tubs though, so they were done down in the workshop.
          Too easy.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Hey Ray, just sent you a PM. Sorry for not replying. I get so many emails every day, things get lost. I PM'ed updating you on your order. This is my busy time of the year, and its VERY busy this year! I am definitely happy about that, but it does put a strain on my ability to answer everyone quickly and fully. Thanks for your patience! No Problem Mike, I was more worried about you. You know, you don't hear from a friend in a while means you you had some problems or JUST GOT BUSY, like you are. All is good, glad you are o.k. I was worried a bit there that something happened to you

Haha, naw, you would have heard about it by now if something did! The bigger the kit business gets, unfortunately, the less I will have time to post. Its already getting that way, and it stinks not having as much time, but unless or until MLB gets big enough, I have to juggle my day job and night jobs! I do enjoy the challenge tho! Like I said in the PM, texting me is a good way to get ahold of me too, (252) 717-6282. I have unlimited text messaging, so fire away! Mike
