mbp is great. whenever i place an order i just get a paypal refund the next day.

Well the problem is that by german law Jo has to show his pricing inclusiv VAT.
So as TG said send a email and he will deduct.

You will pay VAT and doen't matter if you are out of EU.

Also you will pay custom fees.
Only EU countries don't pay custom fees when they import from an other EU country

Well guys I placed my order yesterday with MBP and last night I received an email request from Jo. He removed the VAT charges and my order has already been shipped! Talk about customer service!!

I didn't think it was correct to charge the VAT to a non-EU member as I had quoted it in my first post. The quote states no VAT should be applied to export orders....here it is again.

For the purpose of exports between the Community and non-member countries, no VAT is charged on the transaction and the VAT already paid on the inputs of the good for export is deducted - this is an exemption with the right to deduct the input VAT, sometimes called 'zero-rating'. There is thus no residual VAT contained in the export price.

I also looked at many other websites and some of them have two sets of pricing, one with the VAT applied and another excluding the VAT.

Yeah well it worked itself out, Jo at MBP is very easy to deal with and I would recommend him in the future.
+1 on adding another member to Boaters and Crawlers Durham, the more the merrier! Hope you're feeling better.
