    questions about hk pursuit

i have been running a sv 27 for a long time. been running 2- 2cell 40c 5000mah lipos with stock motor and esc with x440 prop boat is fast and unstable in chop moved batts ahead . lake i run on always has chop thought of replacing with a hk pursuit . i mainly run gas but electric has been fun less head aches somtimes lol so my expeiance with picking motors and esc is limeted still learning new batt tech with lipos its confusing to me . anyhow would pursuit be a good choice for a sv 27 replacement in terms of stability and speed i was getting good run times with old boat 15 min or more i think . prolly 40 mph could i get similar from pursuit also should i geta after market motor have heard after markets are better built and more eficant on runtime and power and last longer any thoughts are apreciated thanks

The Pursuit hull is amazing. Much better then the SV27 hull. Instead of ordering from HK order that boat from Steve here at OSE (check the swap shop and should be a thread on it). His are setup w/ much better electronics. If he's out try kintecracing.com.

15M seems ridiculously long, 4-5M at full throttle is more the norm. Anything less then WOT on electric boats isn't good on the esc. Aircraft, helis, cars that's fine, boats however hate less than full throttle.

so the pursuit is a much better hull and hardware combo than sv 27 i am guessing ? it looks like possibly need mounts reinforced and matt glassed in bottom any motor recomendations for this hull looking for about 40-45 mph out of one if i get one may keep checking used boats on traders section

I've been debating on selling mine. Has a leopard 4074 2200kv motor. Seaking/Turnigy 180 esc w/ extra caps I added myself. Good for 4s2p setup. Has octura coupler and is converted from 4mm drive over to a .187 flex cable and 3/16 drive. I used a aeromarine bushing, also has a good servo in it. It's the one running in the video. No prop or batts. Has spektrum rx in it.

            $400 shipped if interested.

I know how that goes. Buy & the sell the life of an rc addict.

I'm not listing it anytime soon. It's such a great boat I didn't want to let it go, but I'm just not into boats how I once was and it's way to nice to be just sitting on my shelf. So if you sell some stuff and still want it down the road just shoot me a PM.

Agree with getting one from Steve, swap in a better cooling jacket and run 4s. Could use a better prop too, but that's trial and error. Only thing I reinforced was the hatch, it's a little light and I run my boat pretty hard. Spiderwebed the hatch from bashing but it is a great boat. Best all out fun boat I have.
