Zonda 41" cat with dual drives overheating one of the brass tubes so bad it discolored and bent. I have ordered all the parts to convert the 2 piece flex shafts to one piece. Sent Kintec an email and they suggested to check the alignment of the motor. Brand new boat should not need motor alignment, should it? Anybody else have driveshafts over heating? Oh yes both shafts have the correct wind and were greased.

Anything from China needs a good going over to make sure everything is actually firmly tightened up and in alignment. LOL and actually glued in!
I highly doubt any retailer is going to open up all of these things and give them a good going over, at least not for what they sell for. Just like any other store they come out of the shipping container and go out the door to customers.If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

You will find these sort of problems with these rtr boats made in China, some worse than others. Most boaters that know what to look for in boats will go through everything even to the point of rebuilding or rectifying. At the end of the day most accept these are cheap boats for what they are, you simply wont get a high quality boat for the price of these rtr boats.Comment
