    New to electric boats. Again.

After registering a couple weeks back, my account went active today. :)
Being able to search and see attached pictures will help me greatly in learning, so for the most part, I'll be quiet.

Just rekindled the RC interest over the past month and have gone a bit overboard in acquiring boats, but hey, have fun, right?

I had a Kyosho Jet Stream 800 and a nitro tunnel back in my teenage years, but they are stuck in my mom's garage I think halfway across the country these days. Got out of RC for a bit until after college when I raced 1/10 onroad for a couple years and then lost interest due to the cliches and money wars.

Anyway, FE boats caught my interest, and I've since picked up a Blackjack29 that is still on the way to show up, as well a couple Aquacraft Mini RTRs, Minimono, the Proboat 9 family, Mini Eco on the way.......

Obviously in the learning phase, as the LiPos and changes to radio systems since I was involved in RC has certainly got me learning all new again! Much to learn and eventually would like to do a build down the road as time and money permit. I have a little fleet to learn from and maintain first.

You all have some great info I've picked up already, so thanks and I'll be reading a lot!

    hey welcome Wolv,
    i'm still fairly new here,
it's hit or miss when getting an answer here, but the reading knowledge is phenomenal.
i tend to to joke around here but i take RC building some what seriously, first you want to have fun then you want the craft to run properly and then well, it is some time and money. just a foot note i have built many vehicles and purchased RTR, ARR, ATR and PNP just out of the box are just plain fun.

You'll quickly learn how to sift through the crap. You're right, it is hit and miss on this site if you read everything. Most on this site are very knowledgable, but some are great and want to help teach new members, while others want to show you how much they know that you don't. If you post a question and have no idea what a reply means, the person is only trying to wow you and not help you.

OK So when you are at a boat race driving can you turn the pace maker up? You dog you!

My surgeon says if I knew your you had A-fib I would have installed a pacemaker. I feel your pain first hand my 1st triple bypass 1994 was the widower maker 95% left main blockage, 2nd triple bypass 2000 and 3rd 2007. I not only belong to the zipper club I belong to the Velcro club now too! Its in the gene's now you know why I told you to Keep the Faith.
              Just glad your ok bud.
