    New to the hobby..first post!

Just bought my first boat..AQ Wildcat. Had to modify it before I even splashed it. Do not know much about electrons, but I have a problem. I put a tazer 3300kv system in the boat for a trial on 6-cell nimh. Cool. Kept 3300kv motor in boat (copper jacket I made at work), put AQ 50A esc back in boat and ran 11.1 2200mah 30C lipo. Ran good for a few charges (very cool!), then on a different day came to an abrupt stop in the middle of the lake on first try. God sent a kayaker, no "sh@t"! Put a 6400 mah 11.1 25C lipo in and ran in rough water yesterday and cut in and out (fishing rod range this time). Speed 70-80 sec...Stop..wait 30 sec...Speed 70-80 sec...stop..wait 30 sec. Recharged battery, different lake. Pulled out medium speed and completely died. No throttle response. Rudder yes. Changed back to Tazer esc for a maint check and rig worked fine. Seems I torched the 50A Aquacraft ESC, no visible damage. Why? What other ESC would handle this setup well with no real concerns? Clocked at 34 mph with my timex Ironman watch taped to the deck. Stock hardware. Happy with that to start hobby and driving skill. Motor and ESC had seperate cooling and working well. Advice on single battery setup for this speed? Thanks to all the experts in advance.
