1520/1717 rotor stator length

Ok I have a rotor from a 1520 motor will it fit with in the can of a 1717 . Ebay have the 1717 1650kv can alone with out rotor and end caps . I know I would hwve to change bearings 6mm to 5mm . So if u have a 1717 u could get the can and try out the differnt kv. Please if someone could take a measure ment. Or let me know if this is a lost cause
