    New HK GPS unit

    Anyone else bite?

For under $50 I figured WTH and got it. Hopefully its more robust than the Voltron clone they were selling.

I bought the Voltron 2. It works great. Please keep us posted on your testing.

RS 232 is kinda odd nowadays, need a serial to usb dongle to connect to your computer.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Trust me the first Voltron style wasnt either... I figure since it is in a case the buttons might be a little more robust. This will allow for a coating of epoxy.

Thats good then, I used to use my smartphone then save the run on my computer along with the eagletree data, thought it was kinda neat to be able to go back and compare the GPS data to the ET data during testing.
Still amazed at how far this hobby has come since the early 80's, so many neat little add on "toys". Used to spit on the head of nitro engines to test temps, now we have telemetry built into some radios......
