I received the Hydrojerry twin daytona miss geico and i am thinking about maybe moving some electronics. Seems as everyone likes to put the batteries in the sponsons but I was thinking about being different and putting the esc in the sponsons and the batteries on the tunnel. Is there a reason most do not do this? I figure the batteries are what you need easy access to so they should be in the middle/easiest access. ANy thoughts?

Give it a shot. I don't know the size of lipos you have but if you run in rough waters, placing weight at the CG is a good idea. placing each lipo on each side of motor or there abouts is worth a try. You may have to play with the strut angle too. The higher c rating/ weight increases as you know changes the balance and will be trial and error. Forgot to add with weight at CG, increase weight at cg if rough waters are incurred. I had such boats a long time ago and decided to go with monos and keep things simple and never looked back!
