offset ruders

Does anyone know were a complete offset rudder with z bracket can be bought from in Europe?
I am looking for one for a H&M 36" cat
looking like they are to to find anywere, never mind Europe

I tryed converting the inline one I have, but i dont think it will be strong enought without a z bracket

Thanks, but that one is not big enough or strong enough, looking for one to run 3/16 cable. I have bought that etti one last year for a 24" hydro, its a great, but way to small for a 36" cat

RC Boats Australia has a bracket only, but the postage to the UK is way to much.

Kintec have the upgraded 3/16" inline strut & rudder for $28 + their offset z bracket at $15 + shipping of course.

What is the reason for you wanting to hang the rudder off the strut? Is it a narrow hull for straight lines or a wide hull for cornering, I have a 36" sprintcat .40/.80 for oval racing and use a Chinese 160mm rudder mounted independently from the strut, frankly I wouldn't want one bracket taking both the prop load and the rudder load on a boat the size and weight it is, that corners the way it does. A narrow boat will likely be much lighter and won't be able to generate the corner loads a wide one does so it makes more sense to me.

I bought mine direct from China trying to save a few quid, but Prestwich Marine sell them in the UK for £30-£33 depending on the length of bracket that you want, Mine is HF117 the 100mm bracket to get it back with the prop but HF118 and HF119 are the same rudder on different length brackets.

I think your right! I will convert it back to the inline rudder setup, after all it is a very narrow hull and not realy for fast cornering

I just need to find some new wire for the 2mm ram quick links. looking like one end is glued and the other end soldered

Is the wire I need. brass plated wire,the same wire thats used on picture frames?
